However, on your android phone you can easily set Alexa as your default digital assistant by following few simple steps.
If you own a non-samsung smart phone then you should-
- First, install the Amazon Alexa app.
- Open it.
- Then sign in to your Amazon account.
- Head over to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Click the three dots placed in the top-right corner.
- Tap default apps.
- Click device assistant app.
- Then select Alexa.
However, if you are an owner of a Samsung smart phone similarly,
- Open the Alexa app.
- Sign in to your registered Amazon account.
- Click settings.
- Then tap advanced features.
- Tap device assistant app twice.
- Select Alexa.
Now after you done enabling Alexa your default assistant you need to give it few more permissions to access the microphone and you are all set to use the experience of Alexa as your default assistant. One more thing is if you are willing to choose Alexa to control all the smart devices from your smartphone then add all the devices in the Alexa app first to get access.
