Guide to how you can stream your Nest camera on a your giant TV screen using Google Chromecast
Since Nest and Google collaborated it has opened a way for you to watch your Nest home security camera view on a giant screen using Chromecast and Google Assistant. For that you need to go through some set up with your Nest cameras and Chromecast and also make sure that you have installed the Nest app and Google Home app to get these two work together. So let’s have a quick look on how you can stream your Nest camera using Google Chromecast.
How you can add your Nest camera to the Google Home app
Before starting make sure about one more thing that both the Google Assistant and Camera are on same Wi-Fi network. Then follow these steps below:
- Open the Google home app.
- Click the + (add) sign.
- Then set up device .
- Click the Home you are using .
- Choose the device you want to pair.
- Tap done.
After this you are done with syncing the camera now you have to go further to link TV using Google home to enable voice commanding and view.
- Open Google Home.
- Click your Chromecast TV on the home screen.
- Then click Setting.
- Head over to recognition and sharing.
- Tap on the top of the page where it says “enable voice control and more”.
Now finally to stream your Nest security camera to TV just command “Ok Google, show the camera (camera name). Similarly if you want to stop steaming just command “stop (device name)”.
