Blue Apron Recipes are now available on Alexa.
Meal kit creator Blue Apron is bringing more options to their customers by adding multiple recipes to Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. Even Echo Show users can order any meal kit from the smart display without having a subscription to the service. The idea of this collaboration was made to encourage hands-free recipe guides on Alexa-enabled devices.
Blue Apron and Alexa
Through the new Alexa, app users are now able to access Blue Apron two-serving and four-serving recipes by voice via any Amazon Alexa-enabled device. To make the user’s experience with Blue Apron a bit easier, the cook-along feature guides users to follow some step-by-step simple recipes by prompting them. Additionally, Echo show owners will get to order different meal kits every week even without having any subscription.
“We continue to add more product flexibility that addresses our customers’ diverse cooking interests and desire for unique flavors. Through this collaboration, Alexa customers in the United States can now prepare our delicious recipes in a new and convenient way. This is just the start of our work with Alexa as we look forward to expanding this partnership in 2022,” Blue Apron stated.
This collaborative initiative seems to be part of their plan to expand collaboration with another brand in 2022.
“Our current work with Alexa, along with our plans to expand our partnerships throughout 2022, is part of our efforts to substantially grow our customer connections, which we expect to be a key contributor to increasing our engagement and retention rates.” — Apron CM0
The popularity of voice assistants in the kitchen has seemed to be increased in the wake of a pandemic situation. And Amazon and other brands are noticeably experimenting with new ways to combine cooking and conversational AI. Even, as a result, Alexa recently launched a feature to remember users’ food preferences and dietary restrictions to provide more specific food suggestions.
