Manufacturers of smart home devices are going to get more flexibility and control to create Alexa enabled devices with this new Alexa connect kit SDK (ACK SDK). Ever since they have announced introduction of ACK back in 2019, it’s been used to fit the manufacturer design and fabrication better. And now it is going to co-operate ODM and Sls to create more extensive Alexa enabled smart home ecosystem.

This ACK have specially designed for easily adding Alexa to any device. Without designing any firmware or setup an Alexa skill, this kit allows Alexa to control other devices. Amazon last year introduced the ACK module with Espressif Chipset and added Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Also it has lowered their prices to influence manufacturers to add Alexa in their smart device product ranges. And now ACK, SDK have expanded this offering to select size, material and other things need to build a device. It’s also going to be a lot beneficial in terms of lowering the price of manufacturing for Alexa devices in some of cases.

Amazon senior tech product manager Nithya Chandrasekaran stated while announcing “ACK SDK comes pre-integrated with components for Alexa control (Smart Home Skill APIs), Frustration Free Setup, security, log and metric collection, and firmware updates — managed by Amazon,” “Further, since ACK SDK is available as source code, it allows you to customize even more, such as fine-tuning power profiles by taking advantage of the SoCs low-power modes and having better control over peripherals.”
